Meet Erin Pesce Terpack, Regional Underwriting Executive, Vice President, Business Development
Please tell us about your career journey and your path to Sompo.
I’m privileged to be approaching 23 years in the insurance industry. I’m grateful for the incredible mentors and friends that have inspired and guided me through this journey. Prior to joining Sompo’s Global Risk Solutions (GRS) team in September 2020, I held roles in underwriting and had led teams. In my current role as a Regional Underwriting Executive, I drive profitable growth and distribution for a ten-state territory. I enjoy working closely with our valued trading partners to leverage the power of the Sompo GRS industry verticals.
What advice do you have for prospective Sompo candidates?
My advice for prospective candidates is to lean into all that this organization has to offer. The team approach and lack of silos have enabled me to grow as a professional in ways I never imagined. I’ve realized my passion for coaching and am grateful that this environment has fostered this very important skill.
Tell us about an initiative at Sompo that you are most excited for in 2022.
I’m privileged to support the Sompo GRS Technology and Life Sciences teams from both an underwriting and marketing perspective given my technical background. We’re rolling out a new Products and Property form which were crafted by our industry vertical leaders Todd Lauer and Mike Carroll. It showcases our expertise in this space and our commitment to developing superior product offerings for our customers.
What is your idea of a perfect day outside of the office?
A day with my family doing something fun which could be skiing, camping, swimming or playing games.
